SIGURD Sigurd (Sevier) is near the junction of I-70 and U-24. The community was settled in 1874 as an outgrowth of nearby Vermillion. the U.S. Post Office named the settlement Sigurd because many Danish people lived there and the name had a Danish origin. John W. Van Cott |
