Utah ranks high in the educational attainment of its population but ranks low in per pupil spending.
Utah continues to receive top education rankings — 11th for educational attainment and 8th in
quality of education, with an overall ranking as the 11th most educated state in America.
In 2020, 92 percent of Utahns completed high school, and Utah students rank 5th in the nation
in passing AP exams. 33 percent earned a bachelor's degree or higher, and Utah came in 2nd for
the highest percentage of adults with either an associate's degree or college experience.
