Sevier is a small agricultural community located in a secluded area at the junction of US-89 and I-70. Sevier takes its name from the Sevier river.

Nearby sites include: Big Rock Candy Mountain, Fremont State Park. Lakes in the viscinity include: Fish Lake to the east and Piute Reservoir to the south. The small town of Joseph on US-89 lies 3 miles (5 km) to the north and Marysvale, Piute county, is located 10 miles (17 km) to the south on US-89. The Fremont State Park Museum is also found here.
