JACOB CITY Jacob City (Tooele) was at the head of Dry Canyon two miles horth of Ophir. In 1865, the Hidden Treasure Mine was opened and the mining camp Jacob City was subsequently established. It was later absorbed into another mining camp, Gisborn (Gisbourne, Gibson), which was named for Mack Gisborn, part owner of the mine. John W. Van Cott |
