COHAB CANYON Cohab Canyon is a small canyon originating in Capitol Reef National Park. It is one-half mile south of the ghost town of Fruita and drains northeast into the Fremont River. The canyon received its name from the early Mormon settlers who occasionally fled to the canyon to avoid federal officers who pursed them over their polygamist beliefs. John W. Van Cott |
