BEAVER DAM Beaver Dam (Box Elder) is a small rural community on U-89 near the mouth of Willow Creek. It is near the Bear River, between Deweyville and Mendon, and was first settled in 1867 by people from Providence and Deweyville. It was named for the numerous beaver dams found along the creek. The first co-op dairy in Utah was established here in 1868. John W. Van Cott |
