History of Atkinville, Utah

Atkinville was a small pioneer settlement on the east side of the Virgin River, ten miles south southwest of St. George. It was first settled by the William Atkin family and was one of several settlements in this area including Price City and Bloomington which did not survive floods, sickness, and drought. Bloomington has recently been revitalized and today is a flourishing community.
