WHITEROCKS
Whiterocks was established in 1868 as the first white settlement in eastern Utah. The settlement is near the Whiterocks River and the mouth of Whiterocks Canyon. It received the name of the river that the Ute Indians named for the predominently white outcropping near the mouth of the canyon. Today it is a predominantly Ute Indian community. John W. Van
