Venice (Sevier) is an outgrowth of Glenwood, located east of Richfield. In 1875, Francis G. Wall built a cabin on the banks of the Sevier River; the early settlement was named Wallsville. When the post office was established around 1894 the name was changed to honor Venice, Italy.
