PLYMOUTH Plymouth (Box Elder) is on I-15 south of the Idaho border. The town was settled in 1869 and named Squaretown because the first four families built homes on adjoining corners of four sections of land. It was previously named Settlement over the Ridge for a short period of time. Finally it was renamed Plymouth by Myron Abbott for the imagined resemblance of a nearby large rock to Plymouth Rock.
