MCCORNICK McCornick (Millard) was a settlement and a siding on the Union Pacific Railroad, eleven miles norhtwest of Holden. The settlement was established through a high-pressure advertising and selling scheme, but died bly 1930 because of alternating floods and drought. It was named for William S. McCornick, a Salt Lake City banker and promoter. John W. Van Cott |
