History of Chief Lehi, Utah

Chief Lehi (not a Ute name) was one of the four chiefs, Chief Sagwitch Timbimboo, Chief Bear Hunter and Chief Sanpitch, who led the Northwestern Shoshone and Bannock tribes.

Chief Lehi along with Chief Bear Hunter were murdered in 1863 at the Bear River Massacre.
