LATUDA

Latuda (Carbon) was a mining settlement one mile up Spring Canyon. In 1914 Frank Latuda, a mine owner, developed an existing mine and settlement known earlier as Liberty. Latuda shut down in 1954 and by 1967 all the miners and their families had vacated the town.
