KIMBERLY

Kimberly (Piute) is a mining ghost town site. Peter Kimberly bought the property high in the north Tushar Mountains. In the 1890s several gold strikes were made and Upper and Lower Kimberly settlements developed where gold, silver, lead, and copper were mined. Mining resources were being depleted by 1908 and by 1938 the town had died.
