| History of Francis, Utah |
|
Francis (Summit) was an outgrowth of Woodland and Kamas, two miles south of Kamas. It was first settled in 1869 by John Williams, who was looking for a secluded spot for a homestead. The settlement was named for Francis M Lyman, a Mormon church official. Today it is a dairy, pasture, and recreation center. |
