ETNA Etna is five miles southwest of Grouse Creek on Etna and Warm creek, east of the Nevada border. There is no longer an established community today. It was first settled in 1875 by Valison and Alma C. Tanner and its early name was West Fork (of Grouse Creek). A permanent name was required before mail could be delivered, so Charlie Morris, the mail carrier, chose Etna. John W. Van Cott |
