History of Clear Creek, Utah

Clear Creek (Box Elder) is a small ranch community on Clear Creek three miles southwest of Strevell on the north central side of the Raft River Mountains. It received its name from the creek. An earlier name was Nafton for a Mr. Naft, who established a cattle and horse ranch there around 1900-11. 1953 maps list the area as Nafton while later maps show it as Clear Creek.
