History of Burbank, Utah

Burbank (Millard) was an early Mormon farming community established in the 1870s in Snake River Valley south of Prues Lake*. An early post office was nearby at Dearden Ranch. The community was named for Margie Burbank Clay, wife of Judge E. W. Clay. A combination of outlaws, cattle and horse rustlers, in addition to uncertain water, caused the abandonment of the community in the 1880s.
