AXTELL
Axtell is on
US-89 between Gunnison and Salina.
The Town was settled in 1870 and received the name Willowcreek for
the small, willow lined creek where the settlement was located. It
received the name Axtell on March 15, 1876, after Axel Einerson, an
early settler.
