History of Annabella, Utah
Taken from the Utah Place Names. (Links Added)
-

Annabella is on U-258 east of Central and south of Richfield. The Harry Dalton and Joseph Powell families settled there in the spring of 1871. Their first homes were dugouts. There are two versions of the origin of the community's name: (1)The name is derived from Ann S. Roberts and Isabella Dalton who were two of the first women to settle in the area. (2)The name was taken from a story whose heroine was named Annabella. The first version is preferred. The town was previously named Omni Point because it was on the point of the mountain two miles from Omni (Richfield). Omni was a prominent individual in the Book of Mormon.
