GOOSEBERRY

Gooseberry (Sevier) is up Gooseberry Creek seventeen miles southeast of Salina. Today there is U.S. Forest Service ranger station on the site. In 1865 a few ranch families settled there. The name was suggested because the area has numerous wild gooseberry bushes.
