History of Beaver Dam Wash, Utah
-

Beaver Dam Wash (Washington) originates at Beaver Dam State Park in Nevada. It drains south-southeast, crossing the state line into Utah, paralelling the Beaver Dam Mountains and continuing south into Arizona to flow into the Virgin River notheast of Littlefield. It leaves the state of Utah's lowest point-ca. 2,100 (640m). Jedediah Smith called it Pautch Creek because of the plentiful beaver and beaver dams in the upper reaches.
